Comapring "western" and Islamic architecture

A highly pretentious (and little informed) article (Ar.) is published in Elaph comparing "western" and Islamic architecture as if the "western" is harmonious and essentially different than the Islamic. The author (an Iraqi: Rif'at al-Jadirji) apparently does not know that Islamic architecture is usually taught within the curricilum of "western" arhcitecture; this is just an indication of how the term of "western" architecture is problematic. The author also neglects any literature written on the subject (how Islamic architecture is "western" or not) as if he is the first person to write on this; a typical pattern in the intellectual circles of the Arab world.

Hello Tarek,

maybe should you write an article on this subject which contradicts Mr Jadirji ?
