Islamic Sources

A very useful website (al-Mostafa) for Islamic sources (free downloads) adds more e-resources to the historians of Islam, in addition of course, to the wonderful al-waraq, which unfortunately does not allow downloads of whole books. Al-Mostafa provides a whole variety of books (in PdF format) representing all genres of Islamic literature.

Examples of the available books in the genres of geography and history in al-Mostafa include:
History of the Maghreb: Ibn Idhari's al-Bayan al-Mughrib and al-Maqqari's Azhar al-Riyad.
Geography: al-Idrisi's Nuzhat al-Mushtaq and al-Muqaddasi's Ahsan al-Taqasim,
Universal histories: al-Umari's Masalik al-Absar (vol.1), Baladhuri's Futuh al-Buldan, al-Masuudi's Muruj al-Dhahab, and Abu al-Fida's Mukhtasar al-Bashar.
